Community Planning
Community Planning is all about identifying the community’s issues, concerns, needs and aspirations for the future, and bringing together the people and organisations that can help to address those issues.
In Calne the community planning process is conducted through the Calne Community Area Partnership (CCAP).
CCAP has undertaken thorough consultation and produced the first ever Community Plan for Calne Community Area (Calne and the surrounding villages). The plan was published in 2004 and distributed to the population of the community area.
Calne Town Council fully supports the concepts of community planning and provides support in terms of facilities and officer time.
If you would like to know more, or would like to be involved in the community planning process, please contact the Community Development Officer on 01249 814000.
