Street cleaning, refuse and bulky items collection is the responsibility of North Wiltshire District Council.

However, CalneTown Council has directly employed a street cleaner to “top up” the service provided by the district council and help combat the ever present problem of litter.

The Street Cleaner covers a wide area of the town helping to ensure the environment is clean, safe and pleasant for people to visit.

The Town Council has also purchased a machine specifically for use in cleaning chewing gum from pavements.
