Chippenham Folk Festival

For four days over May Bank Holiday, Chippenham is filled with the colourful pageant and sounds of traditional British entertainment of all kinds.

Special guests from abroad also come to share their customs and traditions giving the festival an international atmosphere.

Many of the events are free including most of the dance displays and the biggest craft fair held in the town. There is also an exciting programme for the children ensuring that they are fully involved in the joy of the festival and are well catered for.

The are colourful dance displays alongside the River Avon and Island Park that have become one of the most popular highlights for enthusiasts and townsfolk alike.
