Help - Automated Telephone Payments service
You can now pay for Car Parking fines (Penalty Charge), Council Tax, Business Rates (NNDR) or other invoices by calling our 24 hour automated service.
Our payment service gives you the opportunity to pay by simply picking up the phone, any time of day or night.
Simply call 0845 275 0123 and follow the instructions using the keypad on your telephone.
Please ensure that you have a valid credit or debit card and reference number or PCN number (can be found on your Penalty Charge Notice) at hand.
If at any time during your phone call, you no longer wish to continue, just replace the receiver. A payment has only taken place if you receive confirmation of the authorisation.
Step 1 - You will be asked to enter the appropriate reference* this can be found on your relevant paperwork.
*For car parking fines, enter the last 8 digits of the PCN number, which can be found on your ticket. If the last digit is 'A' enter the last 7 digits and the 'A' will be added automatically.
The system will now take a few seconds to validate your reference or PCN number. If your number is not recognised you will not be allowed to proceed with your payment. If you think you may have entered the reference number incorrectly, you will be given the option to re-enter it.
Step 2 - You will be asked how much you wish to pay. Listen to the options carefully and select the correct amount.
Step 3 - You will be asked for your credit or debit card details. It will take a few seconds whilst the system gets authorisation for your payment.
If authorisation is refused, no transactions will take place. Cards are not refused by North Wiltshire District Council, they are refused by your bank. There are many reasons why this may happen and we suggest you contact your bank directly.
If successful you will be advised that authorisation has been successful. Depending on your bank or card issuer, please allow up to 5 working days for your payment to clear.
