Wiltshire Farmers Markets

The Wiltshire Farmers Market Association organises about 130 markets each year in Wiltshire as well as other events. The Association's aim is to support its members in making fresh, tasty, local food and other produce, available to the public.
As well as selling at markets the stallholders are also the farmers, growers or producers.  For most, their full time job is producing so they are able to tell their customers how and why the products are produced.

Locally produced

Wherever possible, goods are sourced from within a forty mile radius of the market which reduces the environmental impact of their transport. There is no factory farming, no GM content and traders aim to keep packaging to a legal minimum.
Stalls are usually operated by the principal producer, someone involved in production or a trained employee.
Information about the products is displayed on the stalls and all produce adheres to food hygeine regulations.

Dates of the Farmers Markets in North Wiltshire are as follows
