Flytipping do's and don'ts

If you discover any flytipped waste, follow these simple do's and don'ts when reporting it to the council:

Do not touch the waste, as it could be dangerous.  It may contain syringes, broken glass, toxic chemicals or other hazardous substances.  In this case, have a look to try and see what the waste is, how much there is and whether it is in water or not.  Please try and be as specific as possible about its location.

Do not disturb the site, as there may be evidence that could help identify the culprits and lead to their prosecution.
