Public rights of way

The rights of way network gives extensive opportunities for quiet enjoyment of Wiltshire's beautiful and varied countryside.  Over 6100 kilometres of footpaths, bridleways, roads used as public paths and byways open to all traffic provide access across the whole county (with the exception of the Imber Ranges Military Training Area).

Wiltshire County Council is responsible for managing rights of way in the county by protecting and asserting the rights of the public.  Please visit their website at www.wiltshire.gov.uk for more information on public rights of way.
