Data Protection Act 1998 - Subject  Access Requests

Under the Data Protection Act 1998, everyone has the right to access personal information that is held about them by the Council either on computer or in structured and accessible manual files. Any person may exercise this right, known as a Subject Access Request, by submitting a written request to the Council. There is a charge of £10 for each Subject Access Request made under the Act.

The Council aims to comply with requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible, and will ensure that information is provided within 40 days unless there is good reason for delay.

If you wish to access your personal data, please complete and return the attached application form, with the supporting documents ( where applicable) and the fee of £10.
