Why has it increased so much?
- NWDC
- NWDC’s increase is 1.6% this year compared to 5.0% last year.
- This equates to £2.05 per annum on a Band D property. A rise of just 4p per week.
- Continued efforts by the Council to find efficiency savings have helped reduce the overall level of tax for this and future years.
- The Council is required to consult with the public before the budget is approved. This gives the public an opportunity to indicate to members where the money should be spent.
- WCC
- WCC’s increase is 4.80% compared to 4.80% last year.
