Why has it increased so much?

  • NWDC
  • NWDC’s increase is 1.6% this year compared to 5.0% last year.
  • This equates to £2.05 per annum on a Band D property. A rise of just 4p per week.
  • Continued efforts by the Council to find efficiency savings have helped reduce the overall level of tax for this and future years.
  • The Council is required to consult with the public before the budget is approved. This gives the public an opportunity to indicate to members where the money should be spent.
  • WCC
  • WCC’s increase is 4.80% compared to 4.80% last year.
