Why has it increased so much?

NWDC
NWDC’s increase is 1.6% this year compared to 5.0% last year.
This equates to £2.05 per annum on a Band D property. A rise of just 4p per week.
Continued efforts by the Council to find efficiency savings have helped reduce the overall level of tax for this and future years.
The Council is required to consult with the public before the budget is approved. This gives the public an opportunity to indicate to members where the money should be spent.
WCC
WCC’s increase is 4.80% compared to 4.80% last year.
