Public Participation

Ask a Question

At each meeting of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee there is a public question time.  Do you have a question about the Council and its services, or any other issue that you consider is important to the local community and needs investigating?  If so, you can either attend the meeting to speak to the Committee or you can send your question to the Democratic Services Team at the Council (e-mail democracy@northwilts.gov.uk) and they will make sure that it is presented to the Overview & Scrutiny Committee.

It is important to note that Overview & Scrutiny is not part of the Council’s complaints process.  If you have a specific complaint about the way that the Council has acted towards you as an individual or has provided you with a service, then you can make a complaint using the Council’s complaints process.

Get Involved in a Task Group

When the Task Groups have agreed the exact details of their in-depth investigations the details will be posted on this web-site. If you would like to offer your comments, then you can send them in for the attention of the Panel. After receiving your comments it may be that the Task Groups would like to invite you along to a meeting to speak to you about your comments and ask for your help in its review. Whilst you do not have to attend – your contribution would be most appreciated. If you do submit your views, we will make sure that you get a copy of the Task Group’s report and recommendations.
