The full membership of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee is:

Councillors cannot be members of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee if they are members of the Executive. This ensures that the Overview & Scrutiny Committee is independent from the decision-making Executive and that no conflicts of interest arise.
The Overview & Scrutiny Committee is scheduled to meet once every month. However, the Committee has recently decided to limit the frequency of meetings given its reducing role in the transition to an Unitary authority. The italicized dates below are diarised but are not currently expected to take place. The final meeting of this Committee is scheduled for 15 January 2009 and will start at 7.00pm:
