Wilts Building Control have implemented the new VAT rate as from 1st December 2008. Most of our base fee structures remain unchanged apart from one section (Table B "Small extensions, garages, loft conversions etc"). In this area we have increased the "Plan Charge" by £2.77 but accordingly reduced the respective "inspection charge" by the same amount, thus keeping our overall charges the same.
The rationale for keeping the £150 Plan Charge will allow continuity for our regular customers for the few months until our charges are reviewed and revised by next April.
