Cricklade Phases 1 and 2 Enhancements - Suce-sur-Edre Place

Stone paving works were completed in April 1999 to the new sloping raised kerbs to the planting beds.

Cricklade Phase 3 Enhancements - Streetlights

Over 40 streetlights throughout the High Street were replaced in 2000; being of a smaller and more traditional design using a colour scheme to match the historic town clock in Suce Place.

Cricklade Phase 4 Enhancements - High Street

An extensive scheme of stone paving and traffic calming build-outs throughout the whole High Street length to the Town Bridge at the north was carried out during 1999 and 2000.

Cricklade Phase 5 Enhancements - High Street

Existing pavements surfaces were replaced with high quality stone paving and street furniture and signs have been improved. Footways have been widened, new street lighting has been installed, a new crossing facilities and other measures to slow traffic along the entire length of the High Street.

Wootton Bassett High Street Parking Bays

In Summer 2000 all the main poorly surfaced parking bays were resurfaced, funded by North Wiltshire District Council and Wiltshire County Council.

Wootton Bassett High Street Enhancements

An extensive scheme was carried out which included new stone paving to footways, paved extensions for crossings, a new paved area for the market around the Town Hall, new street furniture and street lighting and the undergrounding of overhead wires. In the latest phase of enhancements already improved paving areas were extended towards each end of the High Street with some kerbs being lowered and textured to improve road-crossing facilities.
