HAZCHEM information

Hazardous Chemicals and Dangerous Goods are transported throughout the United Kingdom, by road and by rail, every day. All vehicles carrying hazardous materials are required to be marked in accordance with the HAZCHEM Code.

The Wiltshire and Swindon Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Guide produced by members of the Local Resilience Forum covers the procedures of all partner agencies when dealing with an incident involving hazardous materials such as chemicals and radioactive substances.
