Making a Planning Application
A Planning Application must be made on forms supplied by the District Council. The documents that go to make up a Planning Application are:
- Four or five sets of the application forms with all the relevant questions completed.
- A copy of the ownership certificate. If you do not own the land, you must complete a notice and pass this on to the owner. Forms for the completion of the notices are available from the Planning Functions.
- Four or five sets of plans showing the location of the land or building, a site plan, floor plans and elevations.
- You can also send any other information you consider to be relevant to the proposal, either in the form of drawings or written information.
- A fee must be paid at the time the application is submitted. The fees are revised from time to time and a guidance note as to the fee to be paid in respect of the types of application is available from the Development Control Function, and is provided with each set of application forms.
