Did you know?

Almost 50,000 tonnes of rubbish are collected in North Wilts each year.
This includes 2,000 tonnes of disposable nappies are collected per year in North Wilts.
The rubbish collected from your home is sent to a landfill site to be buried.
It only takes 2 years to fill a landfill site the size of 10 football pitches.
We are throwing away 5% more rubbish each year, but we only recycle 18% of all the rubbish we produce.
Most homes throw away 4 glass bottles, 13 cans, 3 plastic bottles and at least 5kg of paper a week that could all be recycled.
