Kerbside - Request for a recycling box

Kerbside recycling in North Wiltshire is operated in conjunction with the Wiltshire Waste Partnership and Wiltshire County Council’s disposal and recycling contractor – Hills Waste.

Kerbside recycling boxes are available to 98% of households across North Wiltshire. Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer this service to some of the more rural and remote parts of the district. We are working closely with Hills Waste to increase the coverage where possible.

Please call Hills Waste on 0845 603 2085 or visit the website www.recycleforwiltshire.com to find out if you are included, to order a recycling or to check your collection day.

The recycling boxes can be used to recycle:
  • Paper– Newspapers, magazines, sheets of paper, computer/printer paper, junk mail, white telephone directories and catalogues –NO cardboard covers or glued spines. Glass bottles and jars. Remove plastic and metal lids and wash out.
  • Steel and aluminium food tins and drinks cans. Please empty and wash out.
  • Aerosols.
  • textiles -  clothing, linen, pairs of shoes and handbags. Put in a knotted carrier bag before putting in the box.
  • Foil – clean aluminium foil such as yoghurt tops and takeaway food containers
There is no limit to the amount of recycling you put out for collection. If it will not all fit in your box then place it for collection along your box in carrier bags (please do not use refuse sacks, as it will be considered as rubbish)

The boxes are emptied every two weeks.
