Can a companion travel free with me?

Yes, if you have a severe disability. You can ask the Council to include a travelling companion on your Bus Pass when you apply for it. Your companion will be able to travel free throughout the following areas – Wiltshire County, Swindon Borough, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, and North Somerset. They will also have free travel on journeys into (but not from) other neighbouring Districts. They will not have a statutory right to free national travel. This may change in due course. Alternatively, if you opt for tokens instead of a pass, you can apply for tokens for your companion too.
