Affordable Housing in North Wiltshire

North Wiltshire District Council is working to ensure as many people as possible have access to affordable homes. The council works in partnership with housing associations and developers.

Many people in North Wiltshire cannot afford to buy or rent a property in the private market.

Affordable housing provides a mix of both rented and low cost homes for sale. The homes for sale are offered on part rent and part buy basis, which is called homebuy.

Recently new affordable homes have been completed at Beaufort View, Luckington, the old Filands School site and the old outdoor pool site in Malmesbury. More will soon become available in Malmesbury, Chippenham and Minety. All affordable homes are allocated to people who are on the council’s Housing Register, which is managed by Westlea Housing Association.
