Home Improvement Grants - Comparison Options

Around half of the heat loss in a typical home is lost through uninsulated walls and loft, it's worth checking whether yours are insulated.  Lofts should be insulated to a recommended depth of 270mm.

Fuel poverty is where 10 percent or more of a household’s income is spent on heating costs.  Fuel poverty is linked to low income, insufficient home insulation and high fuel prices.  Fuel poverty is also a significant health issue as cold and damp homes are harmful to people with heart or respiratory problems.

There are many benefits from installing insulation measures in your home including lower fuel bills, improving and maintaining a comfortable living environment, and reduced risk of illness from cold and damp conditions.

Decent Homes Grants
are available to help vulnerable households bring their homes up to the decent homes standard set by the Government.
