Small Works Grants

If your property requires minor repair works, including repairs to heating appliances and electrical systems then you may be able to obtain a grant.

What is a Small Works Grant?

Small Works Grants are given to remedy minor disrepair, and to improve the security and thermal efficiency of your home.

The maximum number of applications is two within any three year period, up to a grant value of £5,000.

These are discretionary grants provided by North Wiltshire District Council.

Who is eligible for a Small Works Grant?

You can apply for a grant if you are:
  • an owner of a property
  • or a tenant with a lease agreement specifying responsibility for the required works
  • and you have occupied the property for at least three years.
You must be in receipt of an income related benefit such as income support, pension credit, council tax benefit, child tax credit etc.
