Monkton Park is an attractive riverside area of public open space. Situated close to the centre of Chippenham, the Olympiad leisure centre and the railway station, it is suitable for many types of event.

The site is 5.0 hectares and has been the setting for the North Wiltshire District Festival attended by up to 25,000 people.

The site slopes down from Monkton Hill to the flat along the riverside. The North Wiltshire Rivers cycle route goes through the park which also has a number of picnic benches/seats and play areas.

River Island

River Island is a smaller area on the opposite side of the river and near Chippenham High Street. This area is suitable for smaller scale events but is still capable of holding a significant number of participants.

Booking the Sites

Both sites are available for hire, either separately or together, for a variety of events.  However, there is a limit on the number and type of event per year.
