Why strike action is taking place:

A dispute at national level between local government employers and trade unions has led to a national strike being called on July 16 & July 17.

North Wiltshire District Council is making every effort to minimise the effect on services to customers.

North Wiltshire District Council is reminding all customers to place their refuse out at the normal collection point by 7am on the day of collection.

Any customers affected are still able to dispose of their waste by taking it to one of the Household Recycling Centres as these will not be affected by strike action. The nearest centres are at Mopes Lane - Purton or Stanton St Quintin near Chippenham.
