Grass Cutting and Grounds Maintenance
North Wiltshire District undertakes grass cutting and grounds maintenance throughout the District.
The Council maintains approximately one million square metres of grass throughout the District. This ranges from small grass verges by the roadside on behalf of Wiltshire County Council and public open spaces owned by the District Council.
Not all grass is North Wiltshire District Council’s responsibility. Many areas are the responsibility of other landowners such as housing associations. A separate contractor usually cuts long stretches of roadside verges for Wiltshire County Council.
Landscaping and Shrub Maintenance
As with grass cutting North Wiltshire District Council is only responsible for areas that it owns.
