If your workplace is a factory, office, shop or railway premises AND there are more than 20 persons working there OR more than 10 persons working elsewhere than on the ground floor, THEN you may require a Fire Certificate. If you run a hotel or boarding house and there is sleeping accommodation for more than six persons OR sleeping accommodation above first floor level or below the ground floor, then you will require a Fire Certificate.
